Ferguslie hoping for a break after weather call-offs

For the third successive weekend, Ferguslie’s Western Premiership One match fell victim to the weather.

The scheduled visit to Drumpellier in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, was rained off early on Saturday morning without a ball being bowled.

“It's very frustrating to have so many games cancelled, particularly when we had such fine weather earlier in the season and we were running into very good form,’ said cricket convener Haroon Tahir after the latest call-offleft the first XI with another blank weekend.

“The cricket season is short enough - running for just over four months - without losing a chunk ofit.
