Wing-back ready to settle into longer spell at Saints

Declan John insists putting family first was the key factor in him signing a new deal at St Mirren.

The Welsh international's previous spell in the west of Scotland was brief, lasting only from 2017 to 2018, after he joined Rangers.

He spent barely a year in Glasgow before moving back to his homeland to sign for Championship side Swansea City.

Now back up the road, the 29-year-old is keen to put down roots, focusing on off-field matters such as raising his young family.
