Charity scoops award for shining a light on bipolar

A Paisley-based charity that supports people with their mental health has collected a prestigious award for its efforts.

Bipolar Scotland, which is located on the town’s Gauze Street, is one of only seven recipients across Scotland to win a national prize for its work supporting people with long-term health conditions to live the lives they want.

The Self Management Awards, run by the Health and Social Care Alliance, present the annual accolades in recognition and celebration of the achievements of people and projects that have contributed the most to self-management in Scotland over the past year.

And Bipolar Scotland scooped the award for the Empowering Self-Management Project.
