Bears battled back for win

Superb comeback Action from Birkmyre’s match with Mid Argyll at the weekend.
Birkmyre came from behind to pick up their first West League Two win of the season.
The Bears were down to 14 men but still beat the odds and overturned a 15-7 deficit against Mid Argyll on Saturday.
The game started positively for Birkmyre who had the majority of the ball in the early stages.
This positivity was only enhanced when Mid Argyll were reduced to 14 players due to a yellow card for a late tackle.
Birkmyre squandered an opportunity to score before things started to go wrong. Firstly, the Kilmacolm side conceded a kickable penalty but the resultant attempt at goal slid wide.
Birkmyre didn’t heed the warning and then lost a try in the 12th minute. The conversion was missed but, to add insult to injury, they then conceded a second score in the 21st minute.
Both scores were self-inflicted in no small part due to a combination of poor tackling, decision-making and handling.
