Well, that's another year over and we start our adventure on the next one.
We should always look forward, advance and progress.
But the only way to do that is to recognise where we are at this time and what we have experienced and accomplished - otherwise it is impossible to know what progress you are making.
It is always this time of year that we think about such things and it is a good time for self-reflection; something that is important and would be a benefit to everyone if they took the chance or even acknowledged that a bit of self-examination is beneficial.
Anyway, there are lots of things happening this year - one that will be extremely busy for those in parliament - but let's take a quick look at where we are at the moment after last year.
Well, we have some good things to celebrate.
After the UK Government removed the Winter Fuel Payment for pensioners, the Scottish Government introduced the Pension Age Winter Fuel Payment to counteract their drastic decision.
