Ainsley's £5k prize draw win was a huge summer hols surprise

A Johnstone woman who had forgotten she had bought a prize draw ticket won £5,000.

Ainsley Kernohan was on holiday in Egypt with her family when she received a call from Legacy Comps - St Mirren legend Tony Fitzpatrick’s prize draw competition business - to say that she had hit the jackpot.

The 31-year-old was stunned to learn that, the day after setting off for a peaceful break, she was now five grand richer than before she left.

“I received a call from Legacy Comps while away on holiday to say that I had won £5,000," she told the Express. “I was honestly taken aback that I had won it.

“I was told to contact them when I was home after I sent a message to say I was on holiday.

“But they called to give me a time to come and congratulate me.
