University remains in region's top five

EDGE Hill University has retained its position in the top five universities in the North West, according to the Complete University Guide 2026.

Published annually, the guide ranks 130 UK universities based on measures including entry standards, research quality, graduate prospects and student satisfaction.

Edge Hill was ranked 56th overall and achieved its highest scores in graduate outcomes students' next steps into graduate level or professional roles, or further education for example rising 12 places to 20th in the 'on track' category and improving by 16 places to 50th in the 'outcome' category.
