I echo calls for return of A&E services at town hospital

AS YOUR MP, I am constantly talking to local residents about health care services available in West Lancashire. I know it is one of the most important issues for our community.

You may be aware that a public consultation is opening on the future of A&E services in West Lancashire and Southport.
There have been no adult A&E services provided at Ormskirk Hospital since 1999, and the nighttime A&E for children has not reopened since the NHS Trust closed it during the Covid pandemic back in 2020.
People I speak to in West Lancs have been clear; they want to see a 24-hour adult and children’s A&E co-located at Ormskirk Hospital.
‘As your MP, I agree. That's why I made a statement supporting this position last week.
