J&K govt official, 3 security officers among 8 killed in Pak shelling

A senior Jammu and Kashmir government official and three security officers were among eight killed while more than 25 people were injured amid intense mortar shelling and drone strikes by Pakistan in the Jammu region Saturday, officials said.
The casualties were reported hours before India and Pakistan agreed to end hostilities, which soared after the Indian Armed Forces hit terror launchpads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) earlier this week in response to the Pahalgam attack.
