Early detection of students' vision issues can happen in classroom: Guv

Raising concern over the increasing vision problems among school children, Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati said early detection can happen right in the classroom.

“If teachers are trained to conduct basic eyesight tests using affordable screening tools, early detection can happen right in the classroom,” the Governor said, adding, “Once identified, parents can be guided to seek timely medical attention for their children.”

The Governor said this during a visit to the National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) corporaie office at NALCO Bhawan here Friday where he urged the public sector giant to take proactive measures under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme to improve the health of school and college students across the state.
