Derivatives expiry day change for exchanges

SEBI has approved NSE's proposal to shift its weekly expiry day for equity derivatives from Thursday to Tuesday. To avoid simultaneous expiries, BSE Sensex expiry will move to Thursday, effective September 1, 2025
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has received the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) approval to shift its expiry day to Tuesday for equity derivatives contracts, while BSE has been assigned Thursday as its expiry day, the exchanges announced.
This marks a swap from current schedule, where NSE conducts F&O (Futures & Options) expiry Thursdays and BSE Tuesdays.
