Odisha will soon emerge as a frontrunner in country's blue revolution, with the construction of eastern India's first integrated aqua park at Hirakud in Sambalpur district, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said Saturday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually laid the foundation stone for the integrated aqua park at Basantpur in Sambalpur and a modern wholesale fish market at Pandara in Bhubaneswar under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana while launching the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY) and Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses in Delhi. Addressing the state-level launch ceremony of the PMDDKY and the Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses at OUAT here, Majhi said the new initiatives would empower farmers and promote self-reliance.
