Where you can and can't go on city's Lime bikes

YOU COULD BE FINED IF YOU FALL FOUL OF THE RULES

- By GEORGE PALMER-SOADY

IF you've walked through the city centre recently, you've more than likely encountered the odd green and white e-bike left in a random spot.

It is a cause of annoyance for many pedestrians who have to walk around the bikes, but it’s also one of a number of issues which the company behind the scheme is now looking to fix.

E-bike providers Lime introduced the machines to the city in April 2023, as part of a partnership with Nottingham City Council, based on similar schemes in London, Milton Keynes and Salford.

Since then, it is estimated more than 130,000 rides have been made across the city on Lime bikes.

But in recent months long-term problems antisocial behaviour have plagued the city’s e-bike network.

As a result, Lime is looking to toughen the rules for riders.

So what does this mean for people wanting to use the vehicles across the city?

And is there a risk you could be fined just for making a simple error on the e-bikes?
