COUPLE WERE ENJOYING A DRINK IN THEIR LOCAL WHEN IRISH WOLFHOUND BIT WOMAN’S HAND SO DEEPLY THAT ‘YOU COULD SEE HER TENDONS’
A WEST Bridgford man and his wife were enjoying a Friday night pint when their pleasant evening abruptly ended.
Rob Crocker, 69, and his wife Colette, 59, were about to leave the Stratford Haven pub, West Bridgford, when they started to talk to a couple with a dog behind them.
The couple told Rob and Colette that the dog was very nervous. At this point, Rob claims the Irish wolfhound then latched onto Colette's hand, causing a deep cut.
After a night of appointments and waiting rooms, Colette was admitted to City Hospital for plastic surgery and a skin graft, as Rob claims the cut was so deep “you could see her tendons”.
Following a weekend in and out of hospital, Rob reported the incident to the police and received an apology from Castle Rock, the owners of Stratford Haven.
He is now demanding more awareness about the issue of out-of-control dogs in pubs.
He said: “Three days in the hospital, you are hardly there for bed and breakfast, are you?
