University's new sports hall will be open to the community

FOOTBALL PITCH ALSO APPROVED
NOTTINGHAM Trent University has been given the green light to build a new multi-use sports hall and football pitch at its Clifton campus.
The university houses the majority of its sports facilities, including the NTU Clifton Sports Hub, formerly known as the Lee Westwood Sports Centre, on the site in Clifton Lane.
Documents originally submitted to Nottingham City Council in July last year show the new building will directly link to the existing sports centre, and will be used for badminton, basketball, volleyball, netball and futsal - football played on a hard court.
