Teenagers go viral with their take on life in Ilkeston

HEARTFELT VIDEO MESSAGE HAS HAD 2.3 MILLION VIEWS

THREE teenagers have become an overnight internet sensation after sharing a touching message to the world about the trials and tribulations faced by boys across the UK.

The two-minute video was shared on the Instagram and TikTok accounts “A view from a bridge”, where three teenagers from Ilkeston gave a heartfelt account of life in the town. The boys can be seen smiling as they look down a lens on the other side of a fishing lake, with the middle boy holding a red phone to his ear.

The channel posts regular videos like this, whether it’s a lone man expressing his hardships or a woman sharing her account of abuse.

But in this case, we see three young lads speaking about their lives, both the good and the bad, with striking maturity.

They speak about what most people label “naughty things” that children often become tied up in - such as anti-social behaviour - but offer an explanation as to why that may be the case.
