Splash pads closed over water quality concerns

A NOTTINGHAMSHIRE council has decided to temporarily close three splash pads amid concerns over water quality.

Bassetlaw District Council issued the update after finding that the water quality at splash pads in Retford, Worksop and Langold did not meet the “high standards needed for the parks to remain open”.
The council confirmed the parks’ closure on Tuesday and told residents that they are planning to retest the water quality at the parks today. The district council said it would have to wait seven to 10 days for the results.
