Sophie fired up to bounce back and rule World

SOPHIE HAHN hopes going 'back to basics' can help her banish last year's Paralympic demons at the World Championships in New Delhi.

The 28-year-old Nottingham sprint star is gearing up for a crack at a 12th global medal as part of the British team descending on India for this year's showpiece, which begins tomorrow and runs until October 5.

Hahn grabbed T38 100m Paralympic gold in both Rio and Tokyo but struggled in Paris last summer as a sixth-place finish left her pondering her future options.

But after refusing to hang up her spikes, Hahn is now back firing on all cylinders after taking the decision to ditch long-term coach Leon Baptiste and reunite with Joe McDonnell, who she previously worked with from the age of 16.

Hahn feels rejuvenated at the current British training camp in Dubai and hopes she can bounce back onto the podium after a tough summer last year.

"I'm excited - I've had a good season, having switched coaches halfway through it," she said.
