A WEEK-and-a-bit into the job and Ange Postecoglou’s mark on Nottingham Forest is already very clear — just as he said it would be.

The newly-appointed head coach had pledged this would be no slow-burner; no ‘project,’ as he described it. And he has stayed true to his word.

In the space of three games and a handful of training sessions, the Reds have been transformed. They now look like an Ange Postecoglou team.

As for whether or not that will lead to success, only time will tell. There is little point rushing to judgement on that front.

Forest have their first point on the board under the new man, though, and now it is all about building from there.

Below is a look at some of the big talking points from Saturday's 1-1 draw away against Burnley.

Attacking threat

The visitors played some lovely football at Turf Moor. Some of their attacking moves - as was the case against Swansea City in midweek - were a delight to watch.

Even Nikola Milenkovic got in on the attack, clearly taking on board instructions to push up. In the first half, the centre-back played a beautiful one-two with Dilane Bakwa on the edge of the box before feeding the ball through for Chris Wood.

However, the front man couldn't finish on that occasion. And that is where there is certainly room for sharpening up. The Reds created chances and had 17 shots in total but the hard bit was putting the ball in the back of the net.

Neco Williams managed it with aplomb inside two minutes and almost bagged a late winner at the death. Clarets goalkeeper Martin Dubravka was in inspired form, though, and proved equal to almost anything thrown at him.
