Shoplifting duo are jailed for 16 weeks each

A PAIR of shoplifters who wreaked havoc in Newark have been caught by police.

Thieves Stephen Peacock and Wayne Cook, who had stolen from different Newark shops multiple times in May and June, were apprehended by officers last week.
Police spotted the duo on Friday and Saturday respectively while out on foot in Newark town centre, where they had been identified stealing from multiple stores on CCTV footage. Peacock, 65, was responsible for stealing a mixture of meat and clothes during four shop thefts in Newark between May 28 and June 30.
