Roads could close to stop roundabout rat-runners

ROAD closures could be enforced to stop people “rat-running” through villages when major roadworks begin at a busy Nottinghamshire roundabout.

Ollerton Roundabout is to upgraded as part of the £43m scheme
Nottinghamshire County Council has confirmed it is reviewing traffic management plans to make journeys “as smooth as possible” when work starts at the Ollerton Roundabout. The work is part of a broader scheme of upgrades along the A614/A6097 corridor, with other projects including a revamp of the White Post roundabout at Farnsfield, the expansion of the Lowdham Roundabout and junction improvements in East Bridgford.
