Revealed: Plans for hundreds of homes and a new school

A NEW plan has been revealed to build hundreds of homes as well as a new school on the edge of a town.

Developer Hallam Land wants to build 500 houses, a local centre and a primary school on a 54.24-hectares site next to Sherwood Observatory off Coxmoor Road in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
The plan also includes new open spaces and allotments, according to an application submitted to Ashfield District Council.
The developer has asked the council whether an environmental statement - detailing the impact on the environment - would be needed.
