Reid can see MGW being a £100m player in future

FORMER Nottingham Forest coach Steven Reid has tipped Morgan Gibbs-White to become a £100m player.

The 25-year-old is already a talisman for the Reds and a vital cog in Nuno Espirito Santo’s team. He penned a new three-year deal with the club on Saturday to put an end to speculation about his future.

Tottenham Hotspur had taken an interest in Gibbs-White and thought they had secured his signature when they triggered a £60m release clause in his contract earlier this month. However, Forest were unhappy with what they regarded as an illegal approach for their prized asset.

Gibbs-White’s new contract means he is set to play a key role as the Reds test themselves in Europe for the first time in three decades in 2025-26.

And Reid, who worked with the playmaker during his time at the City Ground, is certain he can get even better.

"My valuation would be close to the £60m being mentioned," Reid said in an interview with Boylesports.
