Plans for city Debenhams building delayed

PLANS for student accommodation at Nottingham's former Debenhams building appear to have been delayed as developers say they continue to work closely with the city council.
The Post previously reported that student accommodation could form one of the uses for the historic site and a Nottingham City Council map suggested apartments could be ready for the academic year starting in September 2027.
Proposals now appear to have been delayed, with the same Nottingham City Council data now suggesting student accommodation at the old Debenhams will instead be ready by September 2028.
No official plans have yet been lodged for the site by Longmead Capital, the asset management company developing proposals on behalf of the building owners.
