TOWERING PETER TAYLOR STAND IN LATEST DESIGNS FOR STADIUM
NOTTINGHAM Forest have released details of its new City Ground expansion plans, with capacity set to go from 30,000 up to as high as 52,500.
The club's latest transformation plans differ significantly to those first unveiled back in 2019, with new seating in both comers of the Trent End.
The Peter Taylor Stand itself would be 58 metres tall - much higher than the 38 metres the club was recently given permission for.
The plans are set to be officially lodged with Rushcliffe Borough Council later this month and if approved, the club says 2026 will mark the point at which the City Ground expansion moves from the planning phase to delivery.
The Reds first unveiled their proposal to expand the ground on the banks of the River Trent back in 2019 and they were given conditional permission in 2022. Those plans, which were given final approval back in June, mainly entailed an expansion of the Peter Taylor Stand by 5,000 seats and initial permission was also given for the building of a block of 170 apartments by the stadium, subject to further details.
