A BRANCH of Morrisons has removed the Union flag from outside its store after it was dubbed "filthy" and "disrespectful.

- By OLIVER PRIDMORE

The supermarket chain had been flying the Union flag alongside a Morrisons flag outside its main Retford branch, off Idle Valley Road.

A picture shows that both flags were torn and dirty, with barely any of the Union flag remaining.

A letter was sent to Morrisons head office about the state of the flags in late November and has now been shared with the Post.
