Maziar ready to prove point at Magpies

MAZIAR Kouhyar wants to show that he is good enough to play in the EFL after stepping up to League Two with a move to Notts County.

The 27-year-old faced a long and challenging road back after an injury he sustained as a young player at Walsall forced him to swap League One for non-League.

However, after scoring 13 goals and registering 12 assists to help Kidderminster reach the National League North play-off semi-finals last season, Notts have given him the chance to show what he can do in League Two.

The chance to join the Magpies was something Kouhyar jumped at once their interest was made known, with the hunger there to return to this level of football in a big way.

He said: "As soon as I found out about Notts’ interest, it was just pure happiness and excitement.
