Man accused of rape claims teenager ‘enjoyed' sex

A 28-YEAR-OLD man on trial for raping a teenager in a park has told a court he did not grab her by the hair and claimed she was “happy” during their consensual sex.

Giving evidence, Sheraz Malik said the alleged victim told him, “I really like you" and “I enjoyed it”.
He is on trial at Birmingham Crown Court for three counts of raping the woman in Sutton Lawn Park, in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Malik, of Bath Street, Sutton, denies all of the charges.
Speaking through a Pashto interpreter in the witness box, Malik said he had played cricket and smoked cannabis with a group of other men before the alleged offences.
