COMPLAINTS OVER APPEARANCE OF LETTING BOARDS
NOTTINGHAM City Council is considering bringing back “strict” rules around a common sight in city neighbourhoods.
It says there have been complaints from members of the public, residents’ groups and councillors about the increasing number of letting boards being displayed.
The council first applied for restrictions on letting boards in 2011, following concerns that the increase of boards negatively affected the character and appearance of neighbourhoods where there is a high concentration of student housing and other Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs).
They expired in 2023 but are now being reassessed.
