Jesus off the mark, but late Swansea fightback sends Reds packing

NOTTINGHAM Forest were knocked out of the Carabao Cup at the first hurdle as they fell victim to a last-minute Swansea City winner after being 2-0 up.

Igor Jesus had put the Reds ahead with a brace but the visitors somehow let their lead slip.

The hosts fought back to triumph 3-2 and leave Ange Postecoglou still waiting for his first win as head coach.

After his touchline bow didn't go to plan against Arsenal on Saturday, a wet Wednesday night in Wales offered an opportunity for Postecoglou to really get his tenure up and running.

And with ambitious owner Evangelos Marinakis targeting silverware, the new Reds boss was not taking the third-round tie lightly. Although he made sweeping changes to his XI from the weekend's 3-0 defeat - with three debuts handed out - it was still a strong lineup for the visitors.
