Every parent's worst nightmare comes true in psychological drama Fear. RACHAEL DAVIS learns more from stars Martin Compston and Anjli Mohindra

- RACHAEL DAVIS

It's a question of how far would you go to protect your kids...

WHEN parents Martyn and Rebecca relocate to Glasgow with their two young children, they think it could be the start of the best days of their lives.

Setting up home in a gorgeous townhouse in an affluent area of the city, it's a fresh start for the family.

Architect Martyn, played by Line of Duty's Martin Compston, has new professional endeavours in Scotland, while Rebecca (Vigil's Anjli Mohindra) and the kids are all set to start a new chapter after leaving London.

It all seems to be going well, including meeting the solitary but friendly enough neighbour Jan who lives in the basement flat beneath their house. But it isn't long before things turn sinister.

As Jan (played by Tom Jones actor Solly McLeod) becomes an unnerving and intimidating presence, it seems that the smart tech in the family's home is being used against Martyn and Rebecca to collect 'evidence' which suggests their children are in danger.

Soon the couple are facing unthinkable accusations that are every parent's worst nightmare - and with the authorities refusing to step in, how far will Rebecca and Martyn go to protect their children, and themselves?

Here Martin, 40, and Anjli, 35, tell us more about the twists and turns to come in the new Prime Video series.

Can you tell us a bit about the story at the heart of Fear?

MC: It's this young family who, for all intents and purposes, seem like a proper little team. They've made this big jump back to Glasgow from London, and bought this incredible house, which is pretty much a character on its own.
