A MASSIVE Nottinghamshire project that could create hundreds of jobs is being planned next to Wilko's old headquarters.

International property firm Panattoni has submitted plans for a huge job-creating logistics scheme off the A57 at the edge of Worksop, next to Wilko's former Manton Wood headquarters and courier DHL's sprawling regional base of operations.

The new building, which would span an area as big as 64 football pitches, would be built off Sherwood Drive next to one of the area's two DHL distribution centres, if Bassetlaw District Council approves the scheme.

Planning documents submitted to the council by developer Panattoni and ARE S4 Ltd suggest an operator has been lined up to take up the completed structure, but this company has not yet been identified.
