TEENAGER HAS SET UP HIS OWN INCLUSIVE MUSICAL THEATRE SCHOOL
AFTER winning numerous awards, travelling the world performing with A-list celebrities, 16-year-old Freddie Vokes, from Burton Joyce, has set up his own music and theatre school teaching children from all backgrounds.
Freddie was told from a young age that he would never be able to study music due to his ADHD, autism, and hearing problems. Yet after starting at the age of six, he has had years of musical success. The teenager has now set up the Vokes Lisi School of Performing Arts and has started his first week of teaching.
Sarah Vokes, Freddie's mum, said: “He couldn't set up a company until he was 16 so on his 16th birthday he created it. He is doing it with Sophie Lisi - they have managed to put a musical theatre school together in a couple of weeks.
