THE Flying Scotsman will be visiting Nottingham in 2026, and the public will have the opportunity to ride the train.
The famous locomotive will be pulling carriages on five dates next year, and tickets have gone live for passengers to enjoy an 80-minute journey.
Hosting the event is Nottingham's Great Central Railway, a volunteer-run company responsible for the preserved Great Central Main Line north of Loughborough, including Rushcliffe Halt and its Ruddington Fields base. Passengers will be able to journey on the Flying Scotsman across May 23, May 24, May 25, May 30 and May 31, with tickets already available.
