Café pleads with students who bring own food and drinks and sit in 'all day'
Nottingham Post
|October 13, 2025
A NOTTINGHAM café has criticised the behaviour of some of its customers who sit in to work on their laptops without ordering from the menu.
-
Toast has been located on Derby Road for the past decade and is known for its homemade breakfasts and lunches, which are made from ingredients sourced locally.
The café has issued a “polite notice” after staff observed students sitting in all day, working on their laptops, without ordering anything from the menu.
Some even bring their own food and drinks to consume inside the café.
