Big-hitting fritters set to be served up at SW19
Nottingham Post
|June 24, 2025
STRAWBERRIES and cream are a quintessential part of Wimbledon.
But tennis fans visiting the prestigious tournament this summer will be treated to the spicier side of life as one of Nottingham’s top Indian eateries will be serving up a twist on its famous bhajis.
Bombay Delicatessen is hoping to ace it after being handpicked for inclusion in the championship’s £155 picnics and hampers for VIP guests and corporate clients. Its bespoke version is a petit pois, courgette and pea shoot fritter with mint and basil and beetroot and plum chutney.
It features alongside the best of British from other producers across the country on a menu including horseradish, buttermilk and dill scones, chalk stream trout pâté, pork pie, millionaire’s tart and strawberries and cream.
