Alleged cash-in-transit robbers appear in court

NOORDWESTER - LICHTENBURG - A crime intelligence-driven operation by Lichtenburg Visible Policing and K9 Unit members led to the arrest of three cash-in-transit robbery suspects on Tuesday, 27 May.

The members were on duty when they received information about the cash-in-transit robbery that occurred along the N18 (Mahikeng/Vryburg) and were instructed to look out for the suspects' vehicle; a white Volkswagen Polo. The vehicle, matching the given description, was eventually spotted and stopped along the R52 (Lichtenburg/Koster). Upon searching the vehicle, a substantial amount of cash was found in possession of the vehicle's three occupants. Further investigation into the matter positively linked the suspects with the robbery.
