Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated projects worth ₹46,000 crore in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on Friday, including flagging off a clutch of Vande Bharat trains and opening two rail bridges in the wake of Operation Sindoor, India's anti-terror operation, and the ensuing conflict in the region from 7-10 May.
The PM inaugurated the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project, a 272km-long project worth around ₹43,780 crore, which includes 36 tunnels spanning 119 km and 943 bridges, a press statement from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said.
