Research is vital to create a resilient agrifood system, said President Droupadi Murmu while inaugurating an International Research Conference on agriculture and agri-food systems on Monday.

"We need a systematic understanding of how to transform the agri-food systems. For ecologically sustainable, ethically desirable, economically affordable, and socially justifiable production, we need research which can enable conditions to reach these goals," the President suggested in her keynote address.
