The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Monday floated a consultation paper proposing revisions to the Social Stock Exchange (SSE) framework. It proposes more detailed disclosure requirements for not-for-profit organizations (NPOs) and social enterprises vis-a-vis governance and social impact.
The consultation paper suggests broadening the scope of eligible activities for NPOs to include welfare for disadvantaged groups, vocational skills training, and environmental conservation, among others.
