Central Bank buys +25% of FGILICL

State-owned Central Bank of India on Thursday said it has acquired a 25.18% stake in Future Generali India Life Insurance Co. Ltd (FGILICL) for a cash consideration of ₹57 crore as part of the insolvency process.

With the acquisition of 654,380,439 shares on Wednesday (4 June), the bank has ventured into the insurance sector, Central Bank of India said in a regulatory filing.
