Reform, perform, transform strong pillars of India's governance model

President Droupadi Murmu on Friday said that reform, perform, and transform have become synonymous with India's new governance model across the world.

Addressing a joint sitting of Parliament, she highlighted various governance initiatives undertaken by the government.

"To take the grand edifice of progress to new glories, strong pillars are required. For India's development, my government has established three strong pillars of reform, perform, and transform. Today, these words have become synonyms of India's new governance model across the world," Murmu said.

The President stated that the government has recently decided to constitute the 8th Pay Commission for the welfare of government employees. "This decision will lay the foundation for a substantial salary increase for government employees in the coming years," she said. Additionally, she said that the central government has decided to provide a 50 per cent assured pension to lakhs of employees under the Unified Pension Scheme, which has been widely welcomed.
