NEW DELHI: Following increasing tensions along the India-Pakistan border and an escalation of aerial threats from across the border since Thursday night, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level security meeting on Friday evening in the national capital to review the situation and gauge India's readiness.
The emergency meeting was attended by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan, Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force three service chiefs, and top officials from the Ministry of Defence and intelligence agencies.
