Former PM Manmohan Singh's ashes immersed in Yamuna River

The ashes of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh were immersed in the Yamuna River near the Majnu ka Tila Gurdwara in accordance with Sikh rituals by his family members.

On Sunday morning, the ashes were retrieved from Nigambodh Ghat by Singh's family and later transported to the 'Asth Ghat' on the Yamuna riverbank near the gurdwara.
Singh's wife, Gursharan Kaur, accompanied by their three daughters — Upinder Singh, Daman Singh, and Amrit Singh — and other relatives, attended the immersion ceremony. As part of Sikh rituals, the family will hold... n 'Akhand Path' at its official residence on 3, Motilal Nehru Marg on January 1.
