As expected, Big City runs away with Palaro overall crown
AOAG CITY — Swimmers Sophia Garra and Titus Sia swept their respective events to further lift the National Capital Region to an insurmountable lead in the overall standings of the 2025 Palarong Pambansa here Friday, May 30.
The 12-year-old Garra won the elementary girls 50-meter freestyle event in 28.99 seconds to make it seven golds and tie fellow Big City bet Sia who, likewise, dominated in the boys division with the same number of mints in the annual competition organized by the Department of Education and backed by the Philippine Sports Commission.
