Vice President Sara Duterte and the House of Representatives should submit and respect the Senate impeachment court.
Senate President Francis Escudero emphasized this on Thursday, June 12, as he disclosed that the House of Representatives has yet to confirm that it has accepted the copy of the Articles of Impeachment against Vice President Sara Duterte which the Senate, sitting as an impeachment court, has returned to their Lower Chamber.
Speaker Martin Romualdez described the return of the Articles of Impeachment as "deeply concerning.
"These articles were transmitted by this chamber in accordance with the Constitution, and with the overwhelming support of 215 members who answered the people's call for accountability," Romualdez stressed.
