Sara declines SONA invite but House has reserved seat for her

The House of Representatives has received information that Vice President Sara Duterte won’t be attending President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s fourth State-of-the-Nation Address (SONA) on July 28.
Secretary General Reginald Velasco said that the House would reserve a seat for the Vice President at the VIP gallery should she change her mind.
“We have received a letter from the office that she is not attending. But we are not excluding the possibility that she will attend, no? So, there will be a seat for her reserved at the center of the gallery, no? The VIP (Very Important Person) gallery,” Velasco said, in what could be a repeat of the scenario last year involving the lady official.
