Public school mentors get PIK each as incentive on World Teachers' Day
Manila Bulletin
|October 7, 2025
President Marcos has announced that every public school teacher will be getting P1,000 each as incentive to mark World Teachers' Day, and in recognition of their efforts and sacrifices.
Marcos made the announcement during the celebration of National Teachers' Day on Monday, Oct. 6, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
"[T]oday, on World Teachers' Day, we also provide a P1,000 incentive for every public school teacher a little reminder man lang, kaunti lang paalala that we recognize your efforts and your sacrifices and they have not gone unrecognized," Marcos said in his speech.
He vowed that the government will continue to support them through measures that aim to empower them.
"It reminds us that the true measure of a nation's growth is found in the grit, the passion, and dedication of you our teachers," Marcos said, referring to the heroism of teachers around the country.
"Yet, we know that inspiration must be matched with action. Teachers can only fulfill their calling if the government fully supports their teachers," he added.
