PNP prepares for 3-day INC rally in Manila, NCR cops to be on full alert

Police forces in Metro Manila will be on highest security alert status as part of the measures to ensure peaceful and orderly three-day protest action by religious group Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) at the Rizal Park in Manila starting Nov. 16.
Police Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño, spokesperson of the Philippine National Police (PNP), said the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has initially committed around 10,000 policemen to secure the three-day rally, but the figure may change depending on the situation on the ground.
He said a meeting was scheduled on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 5, between officials of the Manila Police District, the Manila City government and the management of the Rizal Park.
"There will be perimeter support from the Manila City government and at least 14 ambulances will be deployed," said Tuaño.
