PBBM to PNP: Go after cyber criminals

Stressing that criminals have mastered new ways to do their schemes, President Marcos ordered the police force to put an end to crimes that exploit modern technology.

"They exploit modern technologies to deceive, mislead, and victimize others. This is what we need to guard against. This is what we must put an end to," Marcos said in his speech at the 124th police service anniversary celebration on Tuesday, Aug. 12.

The President said this as he committed to continue supporting the Philippine National Police's (PNP) pursuit of modernization and operational readiness.

He cited that they now have drones and other advanced technologies that complement police operations, enabling their capabilities to protect, to monitor, and to respond faster.
